We are colleagues and friends who are very passionate about Human Resource Management. HR Pro Nina Woodard, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP provides thought leadership for the group. She is joined by Kathy Claytor and Heather Robinson. The important thing for you to know about this team is that they struck on the idea of helping new entrants into the field of HR and students interested in HR, because they saw that there was a gap in support for this very important group of people. They are the future of the profession and of business! Reality HR is designed and nurtured by their enthusiasm for the profession and for the individuals who are building the future.
Nina Woodard
SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP
Ms. Woodard serves currently as the President and Chief ‘N’ Sights Officer for Nina E. Woodard & Associates. She launched this company upon her return to the US at the end of third quarter 2008. Using customized executive coaching and strategic business consulting strategies, Ms. Woodard strives to heighten confidence in business leaders as they move into the Indian marketplace, help them increase their understanding of the cultural nuances influencing business in India and to engage in more meaningful and productive communications with Indian colleagues for the purpose of increasing business results. In addition to her expertise in India, she consults with organizations interested in building high performance workplaces leveraging their people, technology and strategy to build a sustainable future. She is also Associate Faculty at University of Arizona Global Campus, Forbes College of Business and Technology and she serves as a coach and mentor for students and new entrants into the profession and senior HR Leaders.
Prior to founding Nina E. Woodard & Associates, Ms. Woodard served as the Executive Director for Strategic Human Resource Management India Pvt. Ltd. the wholly owned subsidiary of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) US. In that role she built a recognition of the new business entity in India and executed Business Development and Marketing campaigns. She also served on the Board of Directors. Prior to her position with SHRM India, Nina served as the Managing Director of Aradhanaa Human Resources Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. her own Indian based Organizational Development Consulting Company founded in June 2002.
Nina’s career has encompassed 32 years in the field of banking. Her rich Human Resources background includes leadership roles in practical day to day activity as well as significant change initiatives, including M and A work and establishing a shared services center for finance. She has worked across North, Central and South America, in the Middle East and in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan. These experiences have given her a truly global business perspective. In all of her roles she worked either as an HR Strategic Business Partner directly with the CEO or the line managers she supported.
Ms. Woodard currently serves as a member of the Safe Place for Pets Board in Colorado Springs, Colorado; an Independent Director for Husys Consulting in India and for Skill Beyond Boundaries, which is a start-up founded in the UK. Her previous experience includes two terms as an elected member of the National Board of SHRM US, Board of Directors and Past President for San Diego SHRM from 2010 to 2019, Member of the CalSHRM Board of Directors from 2010 to 2019 and is now a member of the CalSHRM Board’s Continuity Committee. She was engaged in board activities from early career as a member and Chair of the Casper Wyoming Civil Service Commission in the 1980’s; a member of the Board for Casper Family YMCA, and the Downtown Casper Association. As the VP Human Resources, First Interstate Bank of Casper, she worked closely with their board and served on the Loan Committee of the Board.
She has a BS Degree in Management, an MBA, and a Graduate degree in Banking from Pacific Coast School of Banking. She is a graduate of American Banking Institute Graduate School of Human Resources and is certified a SHRM – SCP and an HRCI certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and a Global Professional in Human Resources.
Kathy Claytor

Kathy Claytor leads the Human Resources function at the holding company level for Delta Dental of Virginia and other subsidiaries. Delta Dental is a market-leading dental insurer, bridging the gap between emerging technology and oral health industries. Focused on promoting oral health, Delta Dental believes that everyone deserves a healthy smile.
Kathy has been in her current role as a strategic leader of the human resources, change management and facilities departments for more than ten years. Prior to this role, she led human resources for Roanoke County and HR roles at Brunswick Corporation.
Kathy currently serves on the board of directors for the region’s Strategic Alliance for Innovation, Technology and Business Acceleration and is a member of Women Corporate Directors and the Roanoke Women’s Foundation. Prior board roles include Girl Scouts Skyline Council and Jobs for Virginia Graduates.
Kathy’s global work includes serving on the board for an India-based software company and as an advisory council member with the New Delhi Institute of Management. She is a frequent speaker at the World HRD Congress in Mumbai, India where she was recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Global HR Leaders in Asia. She was featured in People Matters magazine, India’s most widely-distributed human resources publication, and has been a participant in executive human resources delegations to India, China, South Africa and Cuba. Kathy is also a volunteer for the Aasha Foundation, which supports a shelter for girls and young women in Mumbai, India.
Kathy holds a Master’s of Administration in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor’s in Business and Economics from Emory and Henry College. She completed Harvard Executive Education courses from Harvard Business School and holds HR Certification Institute certifications as a Global (GPHR) and Senior Human Resources Professional and the SHRM-SCP.
Heather Robinson
Heather Robinson is a student at The University of Arizona Global Campus, where she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management. She is a member of the Forbes School of Business & Technology Society for Human Resources Management Chapter and the Center for Women’s Leadership at Forbes School of Business & Technology. Heather’s passion for helping others and interest in making a positive impact in the workforce influenced her to start a journey in the Human Resources field. Heather’s goal is to connect individuals like her, who are inspired by the purpose of Human Resources and aspire to be a part of the field, with the support system and expertise at RealityHR.
